COMENIUS Multilateral school partnerships: 'World's Wide Walls' (2010-2012) as a coordinator:
This work is a multidimensional project which addresses several subjects and problems bringing into the cooperation 4 European schools and involving students and teachers of various nationalities. The main topic concerns the art of wall painting from the very beginning of human civilization until modern times, ranging from cave inscriptions through frescoes to graffiti. The project is divided into three phases. The first one is the most general and its tasks allow the students to learn about the history of wall painting by preparing power point presentations about chosen places or works of art from the whole world. The second phase concentrates on the vicinity of the participating schools and the students are going to look for the examples of wall paintings and take the photos of them and later produce the calendars illustrated by the best pictures. The last phase concentrates on 'know how' of the art of wall painting and will bring the results in the form of tutorial films showing how to make murals, frescoes or graffiti. The final products of the project are going to be the frescoes done by the students of participating schools in their cities. All the results and the products are to be presented on the project website created together by the students and the teachers of the participating schools.
POLISH-SPANISH INTERCULTURAL PROJECT managed by Karen Jacobs and Alicja Wujec Kaczmarek This blog site will be used by English language learners in Opole, Poland and Majorca, Spain. The main idea is that the students will post various projects that they have done in their English class and the students from their class and the other classes will comment on them. They will also answer some of the questions posted by Karen, the boss. The principal aim of this site is to encourage our students to use English to broaden their cultural awareness and knowledge about other world communities.
