Blogging to write, writing to blog. In this section you can find a couple of examples of class blogs that I set up for my students. The article about blogging which includes some theoretical background is available in 'Publications' section. You can also find here a Power Point presentation in a form of tutorial showing how to set up a class blog. Class Blog Know How Click the image below to see the presentation. POLISH-SPANISH INTERCULTURAL PROJECT managed by Karen Jacobs and Alicja Wujec Kaczmarek
This blog site will be used by English language learners in Opole, Poland and Majorca, Spain. The main idea is that the students will post various projects that they have done in their English class and the students from their class and the other classes will comment on them. They will also answer some of the questions posted by Karen, the boss. The principal aim of this site is to encourage our students to use English to broaden their cultural awareness and knowledge about other world communities.
Cheese Business Blog was started as a writing practice site and slowly developed for two years but was closed in May 2011 as the students passed secondary final exam and left school. Good luck and thank you! Click the image below to see the blog.
Pre-Intermediate’s Blog served a different purpose, created as a forum for writing became a site where the students of German of Foreign Language Teacher Training College published interesting things and answered the questions that arose during the classes. Thus it was rather a site containing interesting information about English speaking countries, their culture, arts, music, politics and about various, sometimes unexpected aspects of life. Closed in 2010 as the students left the college. Click the image below to see the blog.
London Project Blog served as a site where the students were developing the project. In spring 2010 they went for a trip to London and to prepare it 50 students (divided into groups) collected information about assigned topics (e.g. history of the city, its monuments, districts etc.) illustrating them with images, photos, maps etc. Click the image below to see the blog.
